What are some good indie rock bands that aren't mainstream?

I listen to a lot of slow paced bands, some examples are doves, radiohead, electrelane. I want to listen to something new and not what everyone else listens to.

Well, its hard to answer your question, because you never know, maybe somewhere everyone listens to that band. For example, i wouldnt say that not a lot of people listen to radiohead or electrelane. It depends on where you are and who are the people you talk to. Almost noone in my school listens to Jimmy eat World, Nevertheless or The Shins
