I am writing a paper on the illusion of honesty is our government. I need some quotes of lies that have been told to us.
I have a few, and I know some quotes but I (obviously) need a source. I have been hunting around on google...but no luck yet.
Thanks

Great site with lies told by presidents over the ages, complete with sources:

Here is a good site with Clinton lies and reputable sources:

There's an awesome book "When Presidents Lie: A History of Official Deception and Its Consequences" by Eric Alterman that details the five greatest lies ever told: FDR and the Yalta Conference, JFK and the Cuban missle crisis, LBJ and the Gulf of Tonkin, Reagan and the Iran-Contra scandal, and of course a section on Bush in general.
Quotes and sources for Bush lies:

You should make your paper an honest portrayal of actual quotes. Be careful not to simply repeat distorted versions of reality that are perpetuated by many, including the American media.
Go to www.rushlimbaugh.com for analysis of comments made by politicians and comparisons to what the same person said about the same subject on different occasions. The inconsistencies (lies) are amazing.
You'll have to be objective, though. Objectivity is necessary in order to discover truth.
I can't help but give you a couple:
"I did not have sex with that woman"
"This is the worst economy is 50 years."
"Our soldiers are terrorizing women and children in the dead of night." (paraphrasing)
The John Kerry presidential campaign.......
Good luck.

Well, there is one that comes to my mind that almost all the presidents have said at least once in the past 3 decades.
Usually it is in a speech and goes like this: "My fellow Americans", and then they do something that shows they have no concept of what the average American is.
