Well I LOVE Thoroughbreds. I rode a TB for lessons, he was the first horse I ever truly rode and I loved him to death. I now have a big bay TB gelding and he is amazing. He's stink pot, but he's so willing to learn (unless it's at the end of the riding hour =P).
I also am amazed by QH's. I have a red dun stud colt who will be one soon and I couldn't imagine my life without him. He's my little red sunbeam!! That he is...
AND I really LOVE Appendix QH's cuz they are my two favorite breeeds mixed in to one being. I like the ones who look more quarter horse, but with a TB head and legs and the smooth TB strides!!

Quarter horse, can't beat them. Versatile enough to turn a hoof to almost any discipline, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so anyone should be able to find a QH to suit them.
I fell in love the first time a rode one, and felt the power coming from that back end, it was a brilliant moment I'll never forget.

STANDARDBRED!
and i know what everyone is thinking, trotters and pacers. but many do not realize that beyond the harness racing track these horses have extreme potential to ecell in any discilpline. they are honestly the most trusting horses on this planet and are absoulute do gooders, they will try anything for their owners. off the track they dont look so good but after a few months of training they are the most versitile horses i know. they have a fantastic temperment and arent nearly as skittish as tbs which makes them perfect for any rider as you get the quiet ones and the cheeky ones. i honestly can say after owning a tb and now a standy that i wouldnt buy another breed of horse. and reccommend them to all! especially to kids that have non-horsy worrying mothers as i do!

I love the American Paint Horse. Basically, because I love the Quarter Horse build and attitude, but I get the flash of extra color.

Appaloosa!!!! I have no idea why. I just fell in love with the breed as a kid, and have loved them since. Most of the horses I have owned have been Appys.

Foundation Quarter horse- They are versatile, trusty, and a classic breed, and foundations are stocky and muscled!
I also like paints and appys, they are pretty much like quarter horses, but I love theier markings, ecspecially dun or palimino apps and paints!

hands down quarter horses. certain bloodlines i avoid but as a general rule they are smart, calm, willing horses. i am also partial to draft breeds for much the same reasons.
