I bet there are plenty out there who have "50 Cents" pounding on their car stereo and Snowpatrol and Keane on their Ipod!

I think you got it exactly right. It is absolutely sickening hearing this pounding noise coming from cars. As you say, they don't seem to enjoy the racket that they are making, they seem more intent on trying to impress others. In my opinion, there should be a law forcing manufacturers to make cars without gadgets that can result in the owners driving people up the wall with their noise.

Good question! I was listening to the who and pink floyd whilst my mates were listening to stuff like erasure and pet shop boys, early 90`s then got into underground techno not the rubbish that was in the charts, just hard banging nonsense, you may not like my music but it was me licking it not a media influence or pop channel.

Hare Krishna!

I agree with you, Kid. I cannot imagine that people actually like that music. When I was young (I'm 51 now) my grandmother was in a record club. She came over to our house to ask me to pick out an album. I had friends over so I picked out a Ravi Shankar (sp?) album. She asked me if I was picking that just because my friends were there. Smart grandmother!

Youre right........personally I think its cooler to listen to your own choice of songs and music genres. To me being cool is doing all the stuff that the so called cool cats are scared to do.
