It was a really big deal to me because I have had various, serious health problems that I wasn't ever sure I would make it this far...
I'm so sad now...

Any ideas on how to cheer up?

Hmm.... something local like a day spa? Or... some really super high end ice cream?
Or, you could think of all of us your friends from P&S and 360 who think you are a very special person and wish you and your family the absolute best!

Aw I'm so sorry! I was supposed to go to Disneyworld this summer but since the gas rose to $3.00 my parents said it was cancelled because we were planning to drive (Its a 16 hour drive from where we live) and we would've had to spend well over $400.00 just for gas (we have an SUV)...I was really disappointed but I found Y! Answers and since then I've been ok...It's been a little boring but you'll get over it sooner or later..Good luck!

"talk to people" ... when all else fails, engaging in communication usually will pull me back from depression.
[doesn't even have to be friends; 'random' people in stores/public places sometiems have a way of making me forget about disappointments]

Instead of visiting Disneyland, you might go rent a small boat in Tahoe? Be sure to wear a wide-brim hat with lots of sunscreen SPF45.

"commune with nature" seems to help too

when I was orthopedic-surgery recovery-ing pretty bad, I got a bunch of George Carlin albums and listened to them ... laughed a lot [looooong time ago .. CD's probly avaiable now]

I'm sorry to hear that. Try to go out, watch movies, read an interesting book or keep yourself busy to get your mind off it. Good luck!
