my family and I are going to be going on a college tour and I wanted to know if anyone knew any fun ideas of places to visit on the side of visiting campuses. We will be visiting: UC San Diego, UCLA, USC, and UC Irvine. It would be extremely helpful to just know some fun places to see and visit as well as some good resteraunts to dine at. Also, if possible does anyone know any hotels near these campuses to stay at? Thank you so much.

Its the southern California megalopolis. Everything from Disneyland to the Beach. I went to UCSD and the beaches are great all along the coast. Great restaurants are a dime a dozen but in San Diego there is a Mexican place called El Indio that is a combination tortilla factory and food stand. Really great Mexican food. in Irvine try Ruth's Chris for great steaks and wander down to Laguna Beach. Javier's has great Mexican and There are a dozen great restaurants within walking distance of Main Beach. When in L.A. Go to Pinks Hamburger stand. Its an institution and you might see a celeb or two. All of SoCal is expensive. If I were in your position I would pick UCLA in LA, Much cooler and nicer neighborhood. Irvine is really great, safe and close to everything. I think that I would pass on SD these days. its just not as comfortable as it used to be. Overall I think Irvine would be my choice. Of course your academic requirements will be a major consideration. Have fun!
Ps try the Yard House in Costa Mesa. A young crowd and great food. About 10 minutes from Irvine. And Partners Bistro in Laguna. This is my favorite restaurant in So Cal.

What do you propose by making use of relaxing? entertainment parks? Bars? sturdy restuarants and golf equipment for stay entertainment? sturdy carrying venues? Do you like one form of climate over the different? Does it count number which united states of america? once you're thinking approximately American universities, look at each and every area. The west coast, east coast, south or the midwest. Then, as quickly as you compromise on that, see which city/college you like ultimate. After that, look at which college has ultimate lecturers and issues which you have an interest in and decide from there. keep in mind, basically in view which you like a college does not propose you would be common there.
