Seriously, if the USA ever decided to invade Canada and successfully annexed it into the Union, what would other nations around the world do? I have no doubt that we would receive strong condemnation and be even more hated by every other nation around the globe...but would any of them actually do anything about it? Would there be any countries that would intervene and stop us, or would they instead just sit back and watch us take it over? Because in this age where diplomacy goes before war, I'm more inclined to think that no nation would have the balls to risk getting militarily involved in something that isn't directly affecting them. What do you think?

Personally I find your question a little off the wall. The United States has no real reason to attempt to invade Canada. Canada is one of the biggest trade partners for the United States, mainly because they are so close. While Canada does have vast resources, the Untied States has a very good relationship with Canada. Canada is one of our biggest allies in the world.

The former British Empire (now known as commonwealth) would stand up for us. You American dogs think you are soo powerful... American troop strength: 2,338,213 Commonwealth Troop strengths: India: 3,773,300 Pakistan: 1,449,000 United Kingdom: 421,830 Canada: 95,550 Four nations out of the fifty-three that make up the "British Empire". And the first three are nuclear powers. India: 60 warheads (materials to build 200 more in place) Pakistan: 40 warheads UK: almost 250 warheads Canada: ?Nothing? Who knows, its pretty easy to hide something in the Canadian north. So uhh, yeah, thats 350 warheads... Not as much as the American dogs, but still enough to absolutely destroy America if you want to tangle. And hey, I'm sure Russia would get pretty angry. Oh, and Iran; which most ignorant Americans do not realise, has the largest army on earth. (over 12 million troops). I'm sure they'd be willing to take a bite out of the States. Fact is, everyone is pissed off at you; your dumb president keeps starting wars!! We're just waiting for you to make the first move. Because y'know what? We're ready for you.

I hate to break the news to you. The USA did try to annex Canada. The USA invaded Canada and got its butt kicked. Under the terms of the cease fire, the USA agreed never to point a gun toward Canada ever again. If you visit the site of Fort Niagara in New York state, you will see no cannons on the northern rampart. A plaque there explans why.

Canada is a member of NATO. There would be repercussions from the US allies inside NATO before the rest of the world joined in. This would be the US chance to find out just how non-self supporting you are.

First off I do not believe would ever attack our friends in Canada.
Should anything like that ever occur we would be hit by sanctions and countries would refuse to trade with us. At least for a while. No country would come to their aid militarily and eventually all would be forgotten and forgiven.

I think that there are some countries that are invested in Canada, such as France and a few others that would aid them if we were to attack. That being said, I do not believe that we would ever do such a thing because it would be really hard to protect our border against them if they decided to retaliate and invade the US.

Most likely, Great Britain would try to step in, mostly because of such strong ties with Canada. France too, but they couldnt do **** if they tried. The UN would give us harsh sanctions, but thats it. No matter what they say, they rest of the world is afraid of the United States.

OK I'll play your game. first there would have to be a reason for us to invade Canada. then you would have to get over to Canada, who has the ability to send a army over the pacific, or Atlantic oceans, then supply them once they are over here.
well the united kingdom and other than them no one. so if the UK is willing to try and defend Canada then that is the only one remotely capable of it.

I am Canadian. We would probably WELCOME being under US rule. We really have a lousy government and our health care system has gone down the drain. Any old Joe with a piece of paper can practice medicine here. Besides all we have to offer in the way of military is a flying squirrel, some aging Legionnaires and a whole pile of gophers we can't get rid of. We really aren't much to gained.
