mochire, the last time the supreme court made any sense was its stance on civil rights issues that helped everyone in this country to be "equal" through the eyes of the law. of course that was about the 3rd time in its history that it made any sense.... that's why i asked YOU

bert, who the hell said i voted for the repubs and that i wanted it overturned? and seattlefan, listen to me. Everything your teachers tell you, and anything anyone tells you, you should question, even if it is supposedly "science". By that i mean question how they came upon the conclusion and just stop accepting things so easily.

Those that answer in essence: "I believe it is a human life," but go on to say,"but a woman has the right to kill it if she so desires; she will have to face the consequences of her actions," are, indeed, the most infuriating to deal with.
How on earth can you justify those very opposing statements. That's like saying, "it's wrong for a person to kill another person, but we don't need to make a law against it; they'll have to face the consequences of their decision."
That makes absolutely no sense.
An unborn child is human life. There is absolutely medical proof of that. Does a woman's desire to have "control" over HER body, allow for her to kill another person's body? Who on this earth can answer this question in the affirmative and make themselves believe it?
edit: Exhibit A as to why moral relativism is sooooo dangerous.
edit: God hates the shedding of INNOCENT blood. If you are going to use the Bible as reference, it's good to know it first, Gerald.
edit: The number of people here, who don't mind it that so many innocents are being slaughtered in the name of convience is absolutely frightening. Try though you may to justify it; it is WRONG. No wonder our great nation is in so much trouble. Particularly, our children. The message that there life means only what their mothers "decided" it means is coming across loud and clear.

It depends on how far along the mother is. Unless a woman has been raped or the pregnancy poses a serious threat to her health, I see no need for abortion.
I've seen the images of an abortion, it's sickening. I have read that when they go to slice the child or poke it, it moves away from the pain. I don't know how anyone could live with themselves if they had chose to abort the child that was almost due. Bottom line, I don't believe the unborn 'child/fetus' is living until it has taken its first breath. It is the breath which controls all aspects of life from the seen to the unseen. When the breath is in the body, life is there and when the breath is not in the body life is not there.
I don't agree with abortion, but it's each woman's personal right to decide whether or not she'd like to keep the child. Personally, I don't have a problem with the morning-after pill. Women who aren't planning on having a child should either be on birth-control, use protection, or take the morning after pilll.
Let her deal with the consequences of her actions.

I strongly believe that ANY woman has, or should have a choice of what she believes is best for her and the unborn child.
Yes, it is killing an living entity. If the cells were not living then it would not develop. But bringing a deformed entity or a hated child or what ever is/can be worse than the early death.
I also agree that killing another human being is also killing but there are circumstances that justifies it. For example to protect your child or loved one from being killed. Or even YOU for that matter. People who are heavily in the Bible know that the ten commandments says "Thou Shalt not Kill" but look at all the wars fought and killings due to religion.
Often times in wars there is no choice. You either kill or be killed. Our "Very Religious" government trains and forces people to kill. It is just a fact of life.

Gwennie, in partial-beginning abortions, there's no scientific purpose for the youngster to be in part within the mum whilst it is killed. The ONLY purpose it's performed that method is to defend the health practitioner from a murder cost. Get truly. It's a genetically special human lifestyles that's virtually no one of a kind structurally the day after it's born than the day earlier than it was once born. Abortion is severe. Women must a minimum of be sincere approximately what they're doing.

From January 2001, to November 2006, Republicans controlled all three branches o f the US government. In that time, what did THEY do for "Anti-Choice" supporters?
Did they overturn Roe vs Wade?
Did they curtail abortions in any way?
Why do you attack other persons for their opinions when Republicans persuaded you to vote for them in 2000 by promising to curb abortion in the US. They also promised to fix Social Security and pass an amendment ot the Constitution about flag burning.
6 years. All they did was pass an Act which allows them to spy with less hindrance on US citizens. Sure you dont have anything to hide, but how does your government KNOW that until theyve listened in to your conversations for a couple months?

Currently the law does not recognize an unborn baby as a living human being. The burden of proof actually falls on Pro-lifers to show that an unborn baby is in fact a unique individual human life. This is quite difficult to prove.

Because it isn't. Have you never learned biology? It is a living fetus, not a baby, hence the reason it isn't given the same rights as actual humans. Your lack of a basic education is a prime example of why we are the laughing stock of the educated world.

the first trimester is the time when the embryo becomes a fetus, they're not supposed to do late term abortions unless there is a health concern for the mother.
embryo is an irregular clump of cells, like the blob.
