Changing tank water with freshwater will be the only way.

Start by changing about 10% of the water (1 gal). Make sure the water you're putting in, is no lower than 1.022. You can continue to change the water about every other day until the sp. gr. is between 1.022-1.025.

Do a partial water change and reaplce the water with water that's around 1.020. It should bring it down a couple of levels.

in case you opt for a fish in trouble-free terms tank then including clean water will deliver it down. in case you ever choose to have coral on your tank, the water could be at one million.0.5-one million.026 for a reef tank. I keep mine at one million.026. the sea is usually one million.027 AFAIK.
