The longer I stay on this website and read about the stuff that goes on at little kids' slumber parties, the more convinced I am that my children will never be allowed to attend one...

heheheh...that's what I told my daughter...she couldn't date until she was 30...LMAO!!!

At some point...you have to let go and let them grow up....

Nope, because I don't think I could ever let mine go to a slumber party, camp, etc and he's only 2!!

as an AUNT of 5 beatiful babies i understand how u feel although am not the mother of these children I still feel a responsiblity for their safety i dont trust those parites even if a close firend was throwing it I still wouldnt let them go

haha, you should have the "lion king circle of life" talk with you're kids

not because it'll help them at slumber parties, but because it would be amusing

as an abused as child mom

nope never let kids spend night
but always felt that was wrong somehow
still
I went conservative and listened to my 'gutt'
when kids were old enough--teen
to say NO
then I let up on that rule
but not until
and yano I don't regret it not one single bit

when my daughter was 11 or 12 she had a sleep over, she was so embarrassed by the way her friends behaved, she never had another til she was in her late teens.

My daughter had ONE they misbehaved so badly she never got another. And I was up trying to listen for problem all night on top of this.

I think you're right to be cautious but beware of being over-protective. In the end, your children will not thank you for it.

it is quite scary
just teach your kids well
and you will have to trust them to make right decisions
make sure that you do keep a closer eye on them than they think
