he was bad when he framed that woman and made the angry mob kill her.. manipulation like that is pretty evil.. but the humans in the story are more evil than the monster..

The monster was not bad, but, he was different. People can be cruel and react negatively before they really know a person. We tend to judge by looks before we know the personality. This in turn would make the monster to become defensive, which over time lead to retaliation.
If, I remember correct, Phantom of the Opera was similar. I thought he was a victim at first, but, in the course of time, he was viewed as the monster. But, maybe I not remember how this went, been so long I see the movie.

Frankenstein's monster isn't bad. The problem is that the monster was neglected by it's creator and then the monster experienced the shallowness of humans. The monster's actions could be viewed as desperate calls for attention.

It depends on which version you watch or read. In some he is a monster that can not control himself and becomes unstable, but in others like in the Monster squad movie, the Munsters series, and van helshing he is just misunderstood. Different.

The word 'monster' is a giveaway when starting to answer this question. If you label someone as a monster then you are projecting expectations on to them that they are are inherently bad.

he can be in the way that he wrecks everything but he might not be because he is living proof that scientists can bring people back from the dead.
