suprise wedding---BAD IDEA. Simple answer

Although your friend may thinks its romantic...the girl probably wont. A girl likes to plan everything out. And you mentioned his family....but what about hers??

Don't warn her about the surprise wedding. If they were planning on getting married, then she must love him enough to get married. I assume her family is in on it, so they will ensure that everyone she would want is there.

What you may do is let her know how much he misses her and talks about her all the time -- let her know that the relationship is still good without her being around.

Nope - surprise weddings are not a good idea. I would talk to your guy friend first and see if you can "redirect" him to a new plan. If not, I would stay out of it. If you tell her, it would ruin the surprise, especially if she would have said yes. Or, if she would have said no, either she would have to tell him not to do it or you would. You will only be caught in the middle.

It kinda sounds like you have an ulterior motive here like maybe deep down inside you feel that if you tell her that maybe she might leave him and hook up with you. I seriously think you have secret feelings for her but never had the courage to tell her in fear of damaging your friendship, but now you feeljealous and are looking for anyway possible for you to be the guy shes marrying. If not,why ruin their happiness by spilling the secret. Let them be,its their wedding and just be a friend still to both and wish them well

If she knows him well enough and he knows her well enough then let them work out their own wedding. If he feels she will love it then let him go with it! She probably will.

Plus, she is a "woman"! You can't pull anything over on a good woman. She will know or at least have some idea well in advance of anything... lol

Enjoy watching them have their fun.

i think a surprise wedding is like a surprise baby you did not really want it but, you just go with the flow. Women enjoy and want to plan their wedding he should not take that from her.

Hell yeah you wanna warn her. If she feels the same she can fake it like she never knew anything but if she freaks out all this can stop before both of your friends are stuck in a sticky situation.

i think a surprise wedding is a bad idea to spring on a girl. girls want to plan their own wedding to be a princess for a day or whatever. it's a HUGE deal, you may want to convey that to your friend.

I don't think she will like this. I think she is going to feel overwhelmed and trampled on. You say "his fams" but you don't mention her family, what about them? Boy could this be a disaster for him, if not now then later on.
