yeah, if you can't even turn it on you need a new power supply. If it is running, it maybe a fan that burnt out. check to see what fans are not spinning
here's some PSUs for sale. I'd suggest getting a higher wattage to better prepare you for the future if you decide to upgrade say to a dual core CPU or fancy smanshy video card

yes yes yes. dust over time is very bad for keeping your computers fans running smooth. Also, dust mixed with nicotine from smoking becomes conductive and can cause you computer to "short circuit"
keep it clean. canned air works great. http://p.office1000.com/gmr/99790FEL.jpg you can find a good deal at walmart. use it about every 3 months I guess

If you were using one of those power strips you could change that out and see if that helps. If that is not your problem then check the outlet to be sure it did not burn up. If that is the problem then you just have to plug in elsewhere. If it was actually your PC that blew, well, good luck! It may have overheated and blew something inside. But check and change all of your power resources before you get too excited about the possibility of the PC having blown up!

Haha, I'm now not definite if it might truthfully! My pc consistently overheats and a little bit fan begins whirring round regardless that. Then I most often flip it off... in order that it DOESN'T explode in my face. 'Cause I do not doubt that it could, now. I desire sooner or later a laptop explodes in any individual's face, they usually list a video of it. So I can watch it. And... ultimately see this going down. But, I desire it dosn't explode on your face. haha =]

Please unplug it immediately and let it cool down. You can open up the back and look for damage later. It might be a battery, but it's probably something more vital. You should take it into a repair shop for an estimate. Good luck with that.

Turn of the computer and if that does not work try sending it back to the company who made it or send it to a computer repair company.

umm. good luck with that. i think it's time for a new computer. there is a chance that it was only the power supply - you'll have to have a proffessional look at it.

Sounds like the battery exploded...not anything else...look at the battery and use rubber gloves to remove it if it did explode..there will be bad acids that will burn you.
