I think Ferrari is the one who's regretting things. While Kimi is a talented driver, he lacks the off-track commitment to truly be successful in F1. In F1, you can do well with either a great car or a great driver. But to truly dominate, you need both. McLaren is benefitting not just from having a good car, but also from 2 very talented drivers who are committed to working with the crew to develop the car.
Now, I'm not a fan of Schumi, but he knew exactly what it took to dominate in F1. He almost ran the team himself, and worked just as hard away from the races as on race day itself. Kimi seems to be the opposite; he wants to show up on race day & be presented with a perfect car and perfect crew, without putting much effort into it beforehand. That alone is why Massa is kicking his butt. I mean, it obviously not the car-- after all, Massa's doing quite well. (When he's not getting disqualified.) :oP
Basically, it comes down to what I think is the modern rule of F1 (and most other motorsports, really): A single race is won by hard work on the track, but a Championship is won by hard work off it.

I don't think either side will be too happy. Kimi was never happy with McLaren's reliability problems and they appear very strong at the moment. Massa has the measure of Kimi and the two Mac drivers (Alonso's bad day at the office in Canada aside) are fantastic right now. I think Ferrari are missing Ross but the season is still young...it could yet turn round. Lewis aside though, Heidfeld is the man - he's always been good and is now getting the opportunity to shine.

Seeing as how Ferrari has won 3 of the 6 races so far this year, I think that it is hard to blame the car for Kimi's problems. Kimi had some problems today, and all of the safety car periods did not help him at all. But Ferrari would still likely have had a podium finish if not for Massa running the red light in the pits.

To be honest I've always felt that Kimi was over rated.
I thought it was terrible when Kimi got the chance to go to one of the big teams while Nick Heidfeld was left at Sauber. Nick had been more consistent and finished higher than Kimi that season if I remember rightly. Nick has kept his head down and has impressed me the past few years by being consistent and getting good finishes. The Canadian grand prix was a fantastic drive for him and he showed his true class. Where as Kimi, again, was just a little bit inconsistent.
Nick Heidfeld is definitely the most under rated driver in F1 at the minute. Perhaps Ferrari should fire Kimi and hire Quick Nick!

Ferrari should regret him joining them. Ferrari really really missed Brawn today. A master strategist like him would have made a strategic change work in a race with 4 safety cars, but Kimi was just awful again.

Kimi has no right to say anything. I think it is Ferrari who are regretting their decision now. Kimi is just an arrogant know it all fool.
The McLarens are fast because they have fantastic drivers although I hate to admit it. If Massa can do it, why not arrogant Kimi?

On the Kimi question, I think he has issues wherever he goes. While I do like the guy and he is blindingly fast, he lacks that ability to help the team develop the car as time goes on, something Schumi used to do. And that leads into the next question. I think Ross and Michael's departures are hurting Ferrari. Ross is a technical genius, and Michael could do a single lap and diagnose the problem.

Actually; i think Ferrari are regretting Kimi joining Ferrari too.
When Michael Schumacher passed his a*s so easily and with a yawn; all of Ferrari at that point were like : daddy, can i let da clutch out?

its kimi's bad luck he's not able to do any thing coz of it....else he has the potential.....but that'll take um to 3rd or fourth position behind both the mclarens....the 2 chaps ahead r crazy....they simply "slide" the car...the 2 seems the only competition....i mean in lewis got 7-8 secs ahead of Ferrari.....jus in 10 laps....there is no bloody competition.
no doubt one day kimis bad luck will fade and he'll start performing again.
