A compass so we don't get lost!
*EDIT*
Oh, and an umbrella in case it rains! Once I went on a nice walk in the woods on a "sunny" day and got caught in a rainstorm halfway through! It's always good to have an umbrella or a rain jacket.

If it's on my 30 acres, make sure we bring fishing poles, a skillet, some basic tools/utensils, matches, binoculars, digital cam, and a huge thermos of sweet tea. I'll share my blanket so you don't have to sit on the ground. No cell signal at the back of the property, so I'll bring a two-way and leave the other one on at the house. I don't get out there much, so I plan on making it a day. Friends and family are more than welcome. Just don't scare the wildlife, thanks!

Some water, a nice little picnic lunch and a walking stick. You have to find a great walking stick!
