As we all know Iran is starting to become quite non-negotiable with their nuclear programs i understand that we would not want to invade iran because the current war havent finished and most Americans do not want to start another war anytime soon however while i was studying the Iran hostage crisis in Tehran, Iran on November 4, 1979(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_hostage_crisis)
i found a section "The Final Months"
Point I: Non-Intervention in Iranian Affairs, "The United States pledges that it is and from now on will be the policy of the United States not to intervene, directly or indirectly, politically or militarily, in Iran's internal affairs." Other provisions of the Algiers Accords were the unfreezing of $8 billion of Iranian assets and immunity from lawsuits Iran might have faced.

Does this mean taht we can't invade iran since we made a promise and pledge not to get into iran buisness?

I haven't read the papers that you quote from but find that interesting. Thanks for pointing that out.
Unfortunately if Bush decided to invade Iran am pretty sure he'd go right ahead & do it. Along with the Iran/Contra problems we will never know the truths behind these invasions, including the latest blunder, Iraq.
Our government isn't for 'the people' anymore. Bush/Cheney have made trillions to line their own selfish pockets. I hope they don't have enough time left in this administration to start a war with Iran. We, the people, can do something about it by voting for a party that represents us, will get away from foreign oil dependancy & help us with health insurance. IOW look after Americans.

The United States government has broken countless pledges and promises it's made over the years, starting all the way back when early immigrants made promises to the native American Indians that were never kept. We "look out for #1" and pretty much renege on our word whenever it's in our best interests. Bush will unconstitutionally and illegally invade Iran just as he did Iraq, and for the very same reasons: OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. -RKO- 06/10/07

I believe Flipper (above) that there will be an "incident". i've got self belief this might happen earlier Bush and Cheney bypass away the White residing house inspite of the shown fact that. i've got self belief the attack on Iran would be ordinarily a bombing campaign. If it escalates and/or if the "incident" is one that gets the yank sheeple bleeting loudly and flying their flags and yellow ribbons and making a music approximately bombing Iran then i've got self belief there will be a draft. McCain would be perceived with the aid of many to be extra able to dealing with an insane conflict than Obama so the Republican wish may well be that McCain might win the wartime election in November.

Bush is short on memory when it comes to history.

Already, Lieberman is advocating military action against Iran--and says that we should institute an air strike against the country. (Because he erroneously claims that Iran is supplying weapons to the insurgents. When in fact, it's the Saudis providing the weapons to the insurgency. Iran is supplying the same to the Shiite militias. You know: Malaki's death squads and such?)

Believe me, history, accords, pacts, treaties...they mean NOTHING to this administration or its allies.

Who said anything about invading Iran anyway ?? where do you people get this from, "Military action" does not necessarily mean invasion, we can still do a pre-emptive military strike without invading.

I think we should honor that pledge the same way we honored the promises made to the American Indians.
