I've had 2 pairs of converse. I think they're more of fashion shoes, even though they're the first basketball shoes of America or something. The black ones are the most common, and no, they are not only for emo/goth boys. Both my pairs were black and I'm a non-emo/goth girl.
I like converse (in black) that are not high-tops. I just got the classic, regular ones.

I like converse. I like a lot of different colors, especially red ones and white ones! and I don't think that the black ones are only for goths or emo's, or just boys. anyone can wear converse!

Everyone wore those like a few years ago. Now I hardly see people with them. I like them, but I wouldn't wear them because I would be the only one. My best friend had some really cute black and pink ones. I don't think black are for emo people OR boys, girls can wear them too.

I just find them comfortable. I hate the high-tops, especially when people wear them so you can see the entire shoe.
But like I said, I think they're comfortable and look good with jeans and a t-shirt. And black...well, people with no brain consider them the property of "emos", but really, they go with any color, so it's near impossible to go wrong with the black ones.
Wow. Evidently I've got too much of a philosophy on sneakers.

I like converse chuck talyors alot. I have black leather ones with pink and my name on them. Am I not a goth or emo person either. I'm a girl too.

Montrail hiking shoes are the best things to walk around in. New Balance or North Face makes the best running shoes.

i absolutely LOVE converse, i have them in purple with no laces, they are so so so comfortable and now anyone and everyone is wearing them, pick your favorite colors and buy em, black is classic so it goes with anything but if u want an edge to an outfit pick a pair oc converse that match, i prefer no laces cuz its much easier but whatever you prefer...good luck and happy shopping
