Does anyone have the quilt pattern for the Double Irish Chain pattern off of the Mountain Mist batting bag from about 15-20 years ago? I believe it was green and white with a scalloped edge, possibly octagonal edge? I really would like to have this pattern.

If I remember it correctly, it is not the traditional Double Irish Chain pattern. So please don't refer me to quilt in a day books, I already have them, thank you. I want a copy of the original.

Can anyone help?

I have researched the mountain mist web site, the green on shown is a single irish chain. I have even called the quilt shop in Ohio and they can't say specifically if they have it or not. Nothing matches it anyhow. Some one out there is bound to have it, if not even the original batting wrapper. I'll keep hunting. Happy Quilting!

Mountain Mist has several books available on their website and through a local quilt shop in Ohio. The link is:

Hope this helps.

See if any of these are the one you want.

to help in the search, I used the generic "Double Irish Chain" rather than limit it to "Mountain Mist" because I have discovered some sites use original patterns without the brand name.

The best place to get the original is from the folks who made it originally. If the Mountain Mist company doesn't have a website, write them a real letter and ask for it. They can either give it to you or tell you where to find it.

They have put all their old patterns into a book. I wonder if the green one in the picture is the one you are looking for?
