Of course you can. How old are you? If you're a teenager, many other teens get braces too. It would be very age appropriate for characters you play to have braces even if they don't have them traditionally. You can change tradition! :-) Just wow them with your talent and no one will notice the braces. You especially need to keep your confidence up! Don't be afraid to smile!
One note though... stick to normal rubber band colors and keep it all single color if you know you'll be auditioning for a show. If you go in with green & pink rubber bands but you're auditioning for Little Women, I think they'll notice.
Good luck!

I wager it relies, I'm additionally all into drama, and earlier than I had my braces off, I used to be informed to attend to get them off till i will even take images for modeling (however that used to be instructed via any individual out of it). But thus far, my braces did not make anybody reject me, possibly given that what I do (degree performances) they don't care approximately appears, however as an alternative the competencies and knowledge at the performer. I have not too long ago auditioned for a musical, and the pass judgement on took a snapshot of me, and at the moment I nonetheless had braces, I used to be informed to grin so I slimed displaying enamel and braces lol. And while I obtained the outcome, I even obtained into Core function (in which there are sub-middle and ensemble). So I wager it particularly is dependent upon what form of drama/theatre efficiency you are doing? Good success! Hope your braces may not influence whatever! :)

im 12 too and im on broadway. Listen, i was reading a magazine and it said " Braces are in style. Here are some fake ones to put on your teeth" Many actors and actresses have braces so don't worry about that.

Absolutely! If you can get the invisible kind of braces, do, but if you can't afford that, don't worry. Like someone else said, keep normal rubber band colors. Don't be self-consious about them, if you try to hide them or act differently because of them, directors are less likely to ignore them either. Just continue acting as you would without them. You might have difficulty if you're auditioning for adult roles, but anything teenager/young adult it should be perfect. It might even set you apart as being better for specific character roles!

It's fine. But I would try to get braces on the inside of your mouth. Or get the clear ones. those tend to be expensive though.
