I have Hispanic neighbors who always play latino music loudly every time they have a gathering in their backyard. I don't understand if its part of their culture or they just don't care about their neighbors. I mean when I have a gathering in my backyard, I like to hear my conversations.

I have black, white, and hispanic neighbors, and they all do it. This is why I am moving way out in the country. Of course, where I live now used to be way out in the country, and it's where I was raised. Hopefully, they won't follow me.

I have seen the problem, but not only with Latinos, but blacks, whites and many asians. I guess if the song is good then all be it, but there are limits. For instance, me, my wife and kids went to go look at a new home, and at one of the construction sites, I heard spanish music as loud as day, then down the street at another home being built, the construction worker there was blasting his rocking roll, then a construction worker in his car was blasting his hip hop. The next day, some asians were blasting their music in their suped up Honda Prelude. So it's not only hispanics, but every race. It's a trend of Generation "X"

They think they can 'rock out to it', which really just means that they can 'ole' in their sombreros or some damn thing. They think everyone thinks their music is as cool as they do. You know the latin expulsion- Ricky Martin, Richy Valenz, some other guy etc., all those songs that went to number 7 for one week on the Billboard top 100, are timeless classics!

My best friend's family is Venezuelan and Cuban, and although blasting their music is part of their culture, it's not only Hispanics. I'm white and I blast all kinds of music during my parties. If someone tells me it bothers me, I turn it down. If they call the cops right off the bat, they better hope I never catch them doing something illegal in my sight.

I think young black people blast their music loud too...and funny thing that happened a couple weeks ago, a young white man ( and I mean white!) blasting rap in his car, he was doing the "leaning" too!!
hehehe
Tell your neighbors that they're bothering you. Simple without having to put everyone in the same basket!
