First, your rates should be similar to what others are charging, so check around and see. If you're too high, you'll lose business. If you're too low, you'll miss opportunites for making money. As for special stuff, you might want to do something unusual/different to attract business. Don't take this the wrong way, but the car washes in my area that seem to be the busiest are those where girls are washing cars in their bathing suits. Just make sure you don't do anything illegal.

Besides car-washing you can offer Armor-all on the tires, maybe do some car detailing or waxing, cleaning mats (all for extra $$$$). Squirt some air refresher inside the car before it goes and please make sure the windows are really squeaky clean inside and out. That really irks me when the windows are streaked...I usually won't go back to that car wash. Rates around here are about $5.99 and $6.99 with a coupon for a car wash with machines. For a hand wash, it should be more...check the rates in your area for both types of washes.

You can also offer to accept other advertiser's coupons....most places do.
