I was just in the neighborhood and across the street stood the toy store. I went in to "relive my childhood", I explored around the toy store, just browsing around when I noticed that Barbie was gone! Well, there was a couple of Barbies here and there, but that's it. Now there's Bratz everywhere. I was looking at a Barbie doll which was inside the box of course, and the box was badly scratched.

"Geez".

Then from behind me I heard a mother speaking to her little daughter.

"I found a Barbie doll that you might like." the little girl said "I don't want Barbie, she's too boring, I want this Bratz doll".

So, I kept thinking to myself "Is Barbie gone?, Is she being replaced by Bratz?" and my answer is "Yes". Bratz became No.1 while Barbie dropped. I think that Barbie is slowly fading away.

Does your toy store that you usually go to has a lot of Barbie dolls? Or no? And if yes, are those Barbie dolls new? Or old?
Do you think that Barbie is winning?

Bratz are beating Barbie badly since Ruth Handler died. They seem to be making cheaper clothes and cheaper quality Barbies with the same body mold they've used since 1966. The only Barbies worth having are collector editions and they're $45 or more each. Naturally with the variety of clothes and accessories and the neat shoes, Bratz are going to be the popular choice. It's sad for us Baby Boomers to see. Too bad Mattel won't hire me--I have lots of ideas.

Yeah, I don't see that many Barbie Dolls anymore either. But their are like rows and rows of Bratz dolls. I definitely think Barbies getting replaced by them. I think its sad that parents will let their kids get Bratz dolls. Why you would want your kid playing with little trashy dolls is beyond me. I know personally that when I grow up and have kids, if a Bratz dolls ever enters my house, I will tear the head off of that doll. I don't want my kid to be playing with a trashy little thing like that!

Hey, Bratz arrived in my country five months ago. They're not so popular, but I saw that the children here are bored of Barbie. I don't think that Bratz will be more popular, because children from my country are bored of dolls in general. But i think Bratz will be better than barbie.

I just posted a question about this! I can't find the little Kelly Dolls anywhere. I have hundreds of little Kelly and friends dolls, but lately all I can find are the strange Fairytopia Barbies or the My Scene "Bratz-esque" dolls. I've been confined to finding all of my dolls on Ebay!

I went to target the other day with my friends and we went to the toy section. I didn't see one Barbie. The whole aisle was full of the Bratz
