Hopped on a bus to go to the pub (don't drink and drive). It cost £8 for three of us to travel 4 miles. In a cab, we et charged £5 - £6. Why the hell are we told to travel by public transport?!!!!!!
Is it me or is anyone else ripped of too?!!!! (Rant, rant, rant!!!)

Too true. I once had to get to work by bus when my car broke down which meant an uphill walk of quarter of a mile to the bus stop then the bus stopped in my local town and the driver switched off the engine until another driver appeared ten minutes later. We set off again on the 15 mile journey calling at every village on the way and eventually arrived in the city, disembarked and had to walk a mile to my place of work. Needless to say I was late!
The next time my car broke down I booked in sick!

I hate buses. If I can't drive, I take the train or the taxi. It's cheaper and nicer than the bus.

WMPT isn't too bad for price, max fare for one way is 1.30, for 3.50 you can use any of their busses all day, and for 5.50 up to five people can use the busses all day as a group.
