Many flavors of the "pro-life" movement are not able to connect the dots, as far as the fact that the child you "saved" might now be condemned to live with a mother who may not be able to support him or have event "wanted" them in the first place. They may end up committing crimes later in life or fall in with the wrong crowd looking for attention and so the cycle means that children born out of wedlock, and to single mothers are at much higher risk to become criminals and have difficulty in life.

Conversely, since the introduction of widely available contraceptives, the crime-rate in the west (or where they were available) has become significantly less than it was a generation or two ago.

So in a way the pro-lifers are right, we've wipe out 40,000,000 citizens, in the United States alone, (based on the average of 1million abortions over 40 years of availability), so without creating a raucous bombastic situation like Comrade Josef Stalin's Pograms or Chancellor Hitler's Camps, we just have average folks going to local clinics. We've been far more effective.

So you really have to look again at the situation have a lower crime rate and schools and opportunities for those who otherwise were born, but we disenfranchized these survivor children with unregulated immigration and inadequate school fund. So instead of being attrocious our underfunded schools are merely bad. Our lack of civil discourse and causal entertainment of drugs and such leads to an increased crime rate but since there are less actual criminals, it doesn't seem so bad.

There are alot of problems with society, the plumetting birthrate and dismal idea of disposable relationships is just part of it all. Fundamentalists decry a lack of return to values or whatever, but miss the desire on the part of companies and corporations to do everything for us and make interchangable specialist cogs of us all particularly in the media are largely to blame for bringing us this low.

I am against the death penality. If some one kills another person for the sake of it then I believe they should be put in prison & the key thrown away I also do not care how they are treated.

The bullet would fee somewhat 5 cents, yet there is alot of criminal complaints to bypass with the aid of earlier you get to spend that 5 cents. whilst an inmate is given a dying sentence, he/her trial information bypass up for the period of the judicial equipment. that's to make confident that no Judicial blunders have been made. the fee comes from hiring extra, or different legal experts. The appeals will take years earlier it would be heard with the aid of the states optimum courts, and then they'd bypass to the Federal Appeals court docket. They fee the State additional funds to try this. incredibly it expenses extra to place an Inmate to dying then retaining him alive. maybe he/she is any such undesirable individual, that different inmates will take care of the subject for us.

Nah if you kill someone that deserves to die you shouldn't get life in prison. If you just kill some random person or someone you got into an arguement with or something you deserve to be sent to jail for life. If you're a molester or a rapist i think you should be tortured to death slowly.

Capital punishment is prolife in that it affirms the values of innocent human lives. Furthermore, it assures protection for the lives of other innocent people. Those who claim that capital punishment is not a deterrent to crime forget that those who are executed for murder do not reenter society to murder again.

I believe that it isn't inconsistent to oppose abortion and to favor capital punishment. Both positions affirm the sanctity of human life created in the image of God. However, even if you oppose capital punishment and believe prolifers are inconsistent to favor it, it's not logical to conclude that those who favor putting murderers to death must therefor be wrong if they say unborn children should not be put to death.

we went through the 70's and toyed with this question...were convinced killing babies was ok if raped or if ill....we have to carry our own guilt and burdens....today I feel that killing babies is wrong unless it endangers the mothers life....we are born expecting warm milk and love....prison is that an African village somewhere? Aids babies suffer, crack babies suffer......
