Cows milk does not have the added nutrition formula has, so if you switch to cows milk your son should be getting a balanced diet from his solid food. Make sure its whole milk.

change him back... babies under 12 months may have an allergic reaction and they also can't fight off bacteria thats in the milk that us adults can. if you don't feel like formula is cutting it, then try goatsmilk, fresh(frys, walmart, bashas) or power (healthfood stores). It is almost as good as the breast. And better then cows milk. And much better then formula. My daughter was on it and loved it.

You can still change him back if you wish but if he is doing ok then you are probably ok in leaving him on it. Doctors do recommend breastfed or formula for the first year and after that whole milk to help develop the brain. As long as the baby is taking to it and the milk is whole milk than you should be alright.

WAYYYY too early! You're not supposed to do it before a year old - their systems aren't ready for it. Hope you're enjoying the constant diapers full of diarrhea.

Before changing him back, you need to speak to his doctor, own up to your error, and get the doctor's advice about how to fix this mistake.

I've always heard you should wait until 1 year to make the switch... check with your pediatrician to get the latest on this topic, though...
