Absolutely, I had my dress made. I think it would be really romantic to re new your wedding vows, I certainly will when we are older, its definitely a personal thing though, some people think once is enough, but if you love that person still as much why not renew your vows. I've been married since december, I spent 2 1/2 years organising our perfect day and it was, even the weather was fantastic. Good luck anyway and I hope you get your perfect day. x

I wouldn't say I had my dream wedding dress. I have been married 2 times. First time was a quicky wedding at the J.O.T.P. So the second time around I had a baby and was out of shape, so just got a dress that fit me. It was pretty, but I wouldn't say it was my dream dress.

I think re-newing vows is awesome. I might do it one of these days...maybe on our 20 year anniversary. I don't see spending alot of money doing it though, I think it would be a waste. Take a nice vacation instead.

personallly don't see the point in renewing vows, I did it once and meant everything I said and still do so don't see why we should labour the point. We like to look to the future together not back at our wedding. In saying that, last year for our tenth anniversary we had our honeymoon all over again but this time took our kids with us which was really special and the best holiday we have ever had! It was nice to remember how excited we were back then and let our children share it for a second time. We plan to go back again for our twentieth anniverary and I am already looking forward to that. If our wedding day hadn't gone as planned then maybe I would consider redoing the vows but I doubt it for fear of jinxing the whole thing....oh and yes I did get the dress I wanted!!

Might be a romantic thing to do, but not just so you can get your dream dress. Don't expect to make a big production about it, because it's just not practical and costs a lot of money. Usually when you re-do the vows, it's only you two and the person stating the vows and your original wedding party (but not dressed up, just to be there). Then you have a party. I'd go to a party if one of my friends was doing this, but only if they'd been married quite awhile. Of course, any excuse for a good party, right?

Marriage is about far more than a dream wedding dress. I only got my dress 2 or 3 days before my perfect wedding and yes it was beautiful - long, very fitted, gold lace with a black under petticoat. In answer to your question " would you ever re-do your vows " my answer is a resounding yes but not because I want a " dream dress " but because we love each more and more as each day passes.

You feel like the most important moment in your life was not what you dreamed it to be, do it over. Lots of people do things over and renew their vows. Plus you can have it your way and it will be amazing for the both of you. I had an amazing wedding but if there had been drama with it, you bet I would have done it and my way only. Whether my family liked it or not, it was done their way first, now mine. And you dont have to care if they like it the second time or not, it's your turn and you're married so the only person you need approval of is your husbands. So there! Good Luck

I had my dream wedding dress. We got married in a registry office & I thought just a simple gown would do. But I saw the dress I wanted, tried it on & it was a perfect fit. The owner of the shop gave me £150 off the price as it was old stock. I couldn't be happier! I hope to renew our wedding vows after 5 years of blissfull marriage but I knew someone that renewed their wedding vows every year on the day of their wedding anniversary.

Redo your vows if it is what you want, my sister eloped and 10 yrs later had a nice wedding.

You get the dress that you want, don't let anyone tell you different. Pick a couple of options and ask strangers as well as family/friends for their opinion. This is how you start to find the right dress. Start with the neckline that always looks good on you, then what kind of waist looks good. If you can do that you will be amazed at how simple a process it can be.

No I didn`t. I got married in aregistry office and decide to buy a smart suit that I`d be able to use to wear to work .
Time was short and I got fed up looking for something and hastily decided on a green/black suit.

Unfortunately in daylight the suit was actually yellow and black and pretty awful. There was no time to change, so I got married looking like a big wasp.

But am v. happily married 10 yrs.
Think it`s a lovely idea to get married when you have your kids. That way you can all get married together.!!!
Maybe I`ll get to wear that dress one day......

My dress was my dream, it was perfect for me:

I would like to renew my vows in a religious ceremony, but my husband isn't sure about that yet. However, we are legally married, together and happy and that is all that matters.
