This was an idea that my friend used that doesn't have to be tied into Father's day or any holiday and works really well if your hubby is used to picking things up on the way home or doing the groceries. When she made the list every 4th or 5th item was a baby related item, some of them still used by the oldest but as the list went down it got more and more obvious, like size 1 diapers and some new pacifers, prenatal vitamins etc... It was all stuff that was going to be needed so it wasn't wasted money and the phone call from the grocery store was hilarious she said, she wishes she had taped it. When he came home he also had added a couple things to the list like a dozen flowers and something special for dinner.

On father's day ask him the question "Do you know what today is?" And hopefully he will answer with "It is Father's Day" Then you say "Yes, it is but is it is also an Anniversary" Then give him a couple of guesses and say "Well, It will be an anniversary next year" By now he should be good and confused. Then say "Next year will be the one year anniversary of the day you found out you were going to be a dad again." I also like the idea of putting the tee shirt on your other child and waiting for him to notice. That would be especially cute if you did it at a party too. Good luck and congrats!

When expecting our second, I bought our first daughter a shirt that said "I'm the BIG SISTER!" from Babies R Us (they always seem to have them, and they're not expensive). I put it on her one night before he got home from work and just waited for him to notice. ;)
It's also a nice keepsake she can wear to the babyshower, birth, and into the following year with her new sibling. I got the baby a matching one that said "I'm the little sister." Too cute!
You can also make a photo gift (a mug, for example), perhaps with an ultrasound picture from your first child or even just a current picture and a message about "Soon to be Daddy of TWO" or "WE love our Daddy" or even something like "I can't wait to be a big sister/brother in February!" Something like that. That's how we told our mothers when #2 was on the way (it was around Mother's Day at the time). ;)
Good luck!

OK this may seem cheesy because I saw something similar on an episode of full house once but it was really cute so hear me out. Try doing a dinner for him consisting of baby peas, baby carrots...etc.. Have him try to figure out the theme and when things come together it will be totally cute.

How about his Father's Day gift from you being a pregnancy test showing positive. Wrap it up in a tie box or something so he will think it is one thing and then completely be surprised to find out it is something else.

Maybe you could put something like booties or a pacifier, or something baby-related, in a box and wrap it as his Father's Day gift.
I surprised my husband with #2 also. I found out right around Christmas, so I wrote it in his card and he found out Christmas morning.
Congratulations!

I think that the card is a good idea...Do one from your first baby...one from you...and then get a 3rd card from the baby....that way he will be confused when he gets three cards...but he can get a card from the new baby too...just make it the last one you give him....i think the cards are the cute, easy, inexpensive thing to do. And I definately think it would surprise him to open this 3rd card...wondering what it is and reading inside that its from his unborn baby...CONGRATS!!!

Congrats!!! Ok, you can take a picture of your belly and write happy father's day daddy! It would be like the new baby is saying it.
Your can wrap the home pregnancy test and that could be his fathers day gift, or you could wrap a baby bib that says "I LOVE MY DADDY".
