I was in the same situation as you years ago. I learned that the Playtex were the easiest to insert. The person who taught me did not do it for me, rather told me. When you are not on your period, practice. Relax and gentle insert the tampon in the vagina opening. You only have two openings, one for urine and menses, and the other is the anus/poop. So you should have no problems in finding the correct opening.
It make take more than twice to get the tampoon in correctly. And remember you have to change it at least every 4-6 hours.
You might find it embarassing but you may want your friend to be in the room as your try, guiding you, etc. Once you figure out how to insert the tampoon, you will be okay from then on.

Whatever u do, make sure you are on your cycle when you try or it will HURT LIKE HELL WHEN IT COMES OUT (learned from my first time :) ) The first thing to remember is to relax. When u get tense, your vaginal muscles get tight and it'll make it harder to insert. so relax. secondly, choosing the right tampon is key. Make sure u use a plastic rounded tip applicator. Slides in easier. Also, use a lower absorbency. These aren't too big either. Try platex gentle glide plastic applicators in regular or light absorbency. Now, the easiest way (for me) to learn, was putting one foot on the floor and the other on the toliet or the tub. Insert the tampon in an upward fashion aiming toward your lower back. You can even try sliding a finger in ( i know it sounds gross) so you can see exactly what it feels like inside, and where it goes. From there, make sure you insert the tampon in until your fingers touch your vaginal lips. If you don't insert it far enough, you will be able to feel the tampon when u walk. If inserted correctly, you will not be able to feel a thing. Good luck dear. You will get it sooner or later.

You should insert it by either squatting or with one foot on something like a toilet cover. Try to be slow and wiggle the tampon a bit to try to get the right place, don't try to push with force. If you have too much trouble, try using a smaller tampon, you get smaller ones which may be easier.

First things to do is relax. If you are not relax then it really won't get in all the way. What I normally do is, I put my one leg up in the toilet and I stick the tampon inside my vagina and let the slide thing push it in. You will feel some pressure but this doesn't hurt and you don't need to worry about it. Dont' panick ok!

Just try a few times until you feel comfortable. Also, only insert one when on your period. Your friend may have got it right first time but you aren't the same person and it could take you longer until you find the right position and until you feel comfortable =]. Im sure you can find information on the web on how to insert it properly.

Firstly, it does take some practice, many tampons (you'll end up going through quite a few before you get it right), and make sure you use the really thin ones as you are first starting out!!

The grips on the tampon when you place your fingers on them and insert it your fingers should touch the exterior of the vagina. Then insert it and it should touch as far up as it can go you will feel it. Also some people just are not built to wear they can wear them comfortably trust me I am one of them. Just Wing it! Hope this helps!

To be honest with you I would tell you the different ways you can try it but the ways are mentioned in the instructions. Just try to relax and if you honestly can't then stick with pads.

I think one way is to lie in front of mirror in your room and fold your legs, then you can have a good vision of the place where u r placing it. It will be like doin it to someone else and it will be easier. Once it's possible, u will not need all that. Good luck!

First not knowing how old you are, it's har to say...I would say to start out with the smaller ones...like the juniors....and the plastic applicators...and how I started was to stand at the toliet with one leg up on the seat and insert........try that.....that's a real tricky question
