Most brand-name computers (HP, Compaq, Gateway, Acer, Sony etc) can't be overclocked. They build their systems without those options available in the BIOS.

If you buy the processor and motherboard combo yourself, that's when you get to play with the settings...

There is probably an update available for your Flash BIOS that may allow you to install a software program such as Super Utility that will allow you to overclock. I am poor and have had to do this to my P4. I have it o/c'd at 125% and it kicks *ss. With a 512MBvideo card, 3-400GBSeagate HDD's and 2GB's RAM with XP Pro it does a great job and is fast as hell.

No PCI-e or AGP, 2 slow dimms...use it as a file server or something.
