16x/(x+12) -1=0
16x/(x+12)=1 multiply by x+12
16x=x+12
15x=12
x=12/15=4/5
checking the math
16 (4/5)/(4/5+12) -1=0
64/5/(4/5+60/5)=1
(64/5)/(64/5)=1 checks out

I assume this is
16x/(x+12) - 1 = 0
multiply through by (x+12) (the function is undefined if x = -12)
16x - (x+12) = 0
15x = 12
x = .8

OK, I assume this should be
16x/(x+12) -1 = 0... if so follow these steps

add one
multiply by x+12
subtract x
divide by 12..

done

16x/x+12 -1=0

x+12 is lcd

16x-x-12=0
15x-12=0
15x=12
x=12/15=4/5

16x/(x+12) - 1 = 0

times by (x+12)

16 x - 1 (x+12) = 0 (x+12)

16x -x -12 = 0

15 x -12 = 0
15 x = 12
x = 12/15
x = 4/5
x = 0.8

YOU HAVE TO DIVIDE BOTH SIDES BY X+12 TO GET RID OF THE FRACTION.....16X-1=0
WHEN 1 CROSSES THE RIGHT SIDE, IT BECOMES A + SO YOU HAVE TO GET X ON ITS OWN....16X=1...SO YOU DIVIDE BOTH SIDES BY 16 AND YOU GONNA GET X=1/16..
