Best thing to do is consult your doctor. Follow his instructions closely.
I do suggest that you don't let your fears (if unfounded) interfere with your time with your husband. This will make him on the defensive when it comes to you and the baby and may make him resent the baby if you are pregnant. However, if your doctor says no riding in the car...then you have to respect that and so should your husband.
I have never heard of car vibrations causing problems with a pregnancy, but it is always best to ask your doctor.
Good Luck!

Step one...relax. Riding in a car is not dangerous and you should be fine lifting up to 20lbs. I was pregnant with my second daughter when my first was almost two. I was worried about how I was going to pick her up all the time and the doc said 20lbs was the limit and I would be fine. Also, I worked about 50-60 hours a week all through my second pregnancy, not to say that is recommended because it was safe but tiring. Anyway, my point is that you should get out of the house, doctors all advise that some physical activity is good. I wouldn't recommend running or riding a horse but walking is actually good for you and the baby and riding in the car wont hurt either.

First of all, congrats on being prego if you are. :) Second, I was this way when I found out I was prego too. Don't be afraid though. The only thing that will come out of that is stress for you, and the baby will also be able to feel that. If a miscarriage is going to happen, it's going to happen if you are home or running errands. There is NOTHING you can do to make yourself miscarry (other than smoking, drinking, drugs, excess stress). If you don't do those things/keep your stress low, you will do just fine. Worrying won't help anything, so just try and enjoy the ride! :)

You'd really have to be ruffed up to have an early miscarriage like that?! I mean a simple car ride shouldn't be a problem, going over pot holes or down a bumpy dirt road may be bad. If you've consulted with your doctor and your at a high risk pregnancy, you should pretty much be doing minimal activities and should be resting a lot. If you don't have a pattern of miscarriage you shouldn't have much to worry about. Of course you should not be doing any kind of heavy repetitive lifting and twisting, or any strenuous activities.

you definitely need to relax. However i do understand where you are coming from. I dont even know if im pregnant yet and i feel like everything i do is going to give me a miscarriage. Nothing you can do right now besides running marathons lifting heavy things and doing strenuous workouts can really affect whether or not you have a miscarriage. Take it easy and relax! good luck!

I know exactly how you feel! I delivered my stillborn twins a month ago and a couple weeks after my doc said it was ok to ttc again, so we are. Let me tell you, when I find out I'm pregnant this time, I'm going to wrap myself in bubble wrap and never leave the house!!! I just don't want to take any chances! My doc says it's VERY unlikely that it will happen again, but you never know. Do only what you feel comfortable. Good LUCK!

there is nothing you can or can't do to prevent an early miscarrage, if it is going to happen it will.
