That's very unusual. Did you reuse the old connectors on your new drive? Try new connectors.

I agree with post one. Maybe, though, guessing, a bad motherboard? Can you try one on anothers computer?

just bad luck on your part, I do not know of anything that can go on in your PC that would lead to premature death of your HD.
