Other than family members, a beloved, long-term pet.

Every time I think about my beloved cat, Mojave (named after the desert I found her in, in 1990, as a 4-month-old kitten), I still cry, I miss her so! And she died in April, 2006. I travel a lot, and throughout the wonderful 15 years that she was with me, she rode more than 800,000 miles with me, through almost all states, and most of Canada.

While I was driving, she'd ride up on the dash, lay across my lap asleep, or even, now and then, would perch on my shoulder. She was trained to ride on my shoulder when I walked, and never tried to jump down. And she knew many tricks. I've had pets all my life, before and after... but NEVER one like Mojave.

hate is the worst. the reason is because it is fuel for a fire. if you hate some 1 or something all you can think about is what that person or thing did to you and all you can think about is what you're going to do to get back at them and then the damage is permanent.

I read an article on this topic once and it said the most powerful emotion was...boredom! Surprising, but I guess it makes sense.

In all honesty, for me it would have to be frustration. I guess unless you have experienced frustration to the degree and level I have you wouldn't consider this an emotion.
