I think its either Reggie Jackson or Barry Bonds who has the HR mark? But I don't know the numbers for both stats.

Since the All-Star break moves around a bit, teams have played different amounts of games by then (and for a few years, 1959-62, there were two ASGs each season, further confusing the matter).

For RBI, the ASB record is Juan Gonzalez, with 101 in 1998. The Rangers had played 87 games when the break arrived (July 6-8) and Gonzo had been in every game. He finished with 157 and won the AL MVP Award.

For homers, Barry Bonds had 39 at the break (July 9-11) in 2001. The Giants had played 88 games, and Bonds appeared in 81. He finished with a major league record 73, which continues to give apoplectic fits to some fans, and took home his fourth NL MVP Award. (Reggie Jackson had 37 at the 1969 break, appearing in 91 of 92 Oakland games.)
