Hello!
I am holding my son's 3rd birthday party in the park in 10 days time. There is a great play area where we will start off and of course we will have a picnic, but does anybody have any other outdoors activity ideas!? I might do a simple scavenger hunt - what else can you think of. Not taking any music with us, so not pass the parcel or musical bumps...

It depends on your budget.

For larger budgets, you can rent an inflatable slide or two or you can hire a clown, a juggler or a person skilled in making balloon animals.

For smaller budgets, GO to a crafts store and buy some inexpensive age-suitable crafts. Face painting is generally a hit at these parties, too.

Good luck!

You need to remember next year (if it is too late to change it this year) to save some cash to have it from 2-4ish because people will have already eaten lunch and it will not yet be time for Supper but having it at 1 o'clock people are going to hold off on lunch and expect to be fed. I would have one of those Pinata's with the strings to pull (not one to hit!) as an activity and the park will be enough other than that You need food that can be left outside and for 3 year olds I would make PB&J sandwiches (*****Make sure none of the kids have Peanut Allergies!!!****) and have chips and get Juice boxes or something comparable (Hint: Juice boxes can be frozen) I would not do arts and crafts at the park...Think about the wind!

do not play hide and go seek either okay---bring a ball, a bat, frisbee--chalk make a hopscotch game---have a contest who can do the best cartwheels anything close to you are ideal--you do not take your eyes off of them at anytime and you will have a successful birthday party where everyone will have fun...ENJOY
