I'd say so, and go on to say it's not noble, but necessary. Why we have so many problems is people do not realize we are all the same, and place people into groups that separate us. When you do this, you give yourself reign to treat others, who you may not understand, according to your own conceptions and perceptions, which are too prone to fallacy. You may judge people who you distinguish as different, and that is when your mind and heart closes.
I think beyond love it takes communication and courage, and with the three, we would have a more unified society.
When you can put others before yourself, you're closer to enlightenment—which is simply being able to identify with all living creatures, dismissing your ego, convictions—thence envy, hate, and all the other emotions, which prone people to destruction.

It is arguably noble to hope that everybody will strive towards nobility themselves however, in my opinion, it is actually ignoble to love all people- it can only encourage laziness in people- after all if a saint is as loved as a sinner then the sinner will say 'why not continue having 'fun' sinning'? And they do.
As for Woodstock- the hippy spirit is one of the truly beautiful, innocent things this world has produced but the greedy, cynical and unimaginative sadly prey on this youthful optimism with disdain.

not only is it noble, but it is possible.....sometimes i do not understand people...sometimes i want to not love people, but really...to love everybody is not hard...it just takes imagination and an understanding of outward circumstance...i have had people treat me with hate...and i think it is sad for them....the next question is...what would happen if we all loved one another...

How "myths" are made--
Just a Vince Lombardi NEVER said " Winnings not the important thing, it's the only thing" ,I very much doubt that Will Rodgers ever said "I never meet a man I didn't like".
He MAY have said "I seldom----" but there's a vast chasm between "Seldom" and "Never"

Yes, Jesus did it. No I'm not religious but look where it got him millions of people worship him 2000 years after his death.
Ghandi did it and look where it's got him.
Hate is for people who can't understand other people's actions. People don't do stuff without their idea of a reason.

It's an easy statement to make. I would challenge anyone to demonstrate exactly how they love others.

Perhaps it would be better to say that it would be humble and merciful to love all people.
