Wow. Is Rod Beck even still alive. Beck was one hard-core party person. I figured his liver would have been shot years ago.

Based on the ages of Beck and Minton, I would have to believe that they would not be able to improve the situation.

I do think that they do need to make a trade to improve the situation.

Do not give up though, as a life-long San Diego Padres fan, I can tell you that Bruce Bochy is a great manager who knows how to motivate his players. Very few former players ever speak badly about him and most players want to play for him.

Might as well ,get Willie Mays also.. This team is just waiting for Bonds to break the homerun record and retire then start rebuilding.

They need to trade with the Nats for Chad Cordero. Everyone forgets that he had 50 saves when he had Soriano on his team.
