You would do fine by entering the teacher preparation program for high school, in which you'd have to pick a subject specialization and you would do science.

or

Get a bachelors in science and a masters in education.

Look at teacher preparation colleges in your area.

It depends on where you want to teach. Some states let you teach with a masters in the subject of interest ie. biology or chemistry. Others require a teaching degree. I know that it's also different for private schools. Here they don't require to have a masters in the subject to teach it at a private school. A basic education degree could only help you though. Best of luck- teaching is an admirable profession.

A biology or chemistry degree will definately work. However, if you are going to go through the hard work of getting such degrees, why settle for being a high school teacher? Unless you just really want to teach in High school. As far as the best university question, look at schools in your state.

BS in Science Education you could do either as a primary teaching area, and the other your secondary area.
Some places you would need to get a degree in Biology or Chemistry and return for your Masters to become a certified teacher!
