D is the answer.....because there is a negative in front of the bracket, you multi ply each number by -1 (when no number is there assume it is 1)

negative multiplied by a negative becomes positive..

I hope I'm right, but:
-(-3m + 8n - 5p)= -1 (-3m+8n-5p)
so, just times -1 to all 3 variables, and you get Answer D.
