I have an old laptop that does not have a USB 2.0 port. Are there any digital tv adaptors that will work on my old school USB ports? Any advice would be appreciated.

No. USB TV will not work at the slower speed of the early USB. If it is not a laptop consider adding a USB2.0 card You can never have too many USB ports. I have a TV stick and as long as you have a good aerial (external) and live in a strong signal area they're great.

I'm not sure, but alot of usb devices which state "usb 2.0 compatible" are ussally backwards compatible with older usb, but obviously slower.

No, as far as i know they are all USB2. Why not get a PCMCIA/USB2 card and plug it into your Cardbus slot. That will give you at least 2 USB2 ports.
