I'd take Mantle, and then tell him to lay off the drink. He'd probably have played into the early 1970s and gotten to 600 homers before Mays.

Joe DiMaggio! He hit for average, power, great base runner, best outfielder in the game! He made way better contact than Mantle! Besides that I think Yogi Berra was the most underrated player on those teams when Mantle played and the true leader of those teams! DiMaggio himself was the true leader during his playing days! DiMaggio also won 9 World Series Championships to Mantle's 7!

They say teher was nobody like Dimaggio. The only way I could understand this was when I watched berine williams play center field in person. He made a routine catch in center field. Then I reflected on how much ground he covered to get to the ball and I realized there was nothing routine at all about the catch. he just made it look that way. They say that's the way Dimaggio was. mantle, what can you say his numbers speak for themself, world series clutch hitting fielding ... what can you say except he would have been even better had he talken care of himself the way modern players do. I don't think you can do a competiton and say which one is better. They were just different. dimaggio had teh hitting streak, mantle had the tape measure home runs.

I'm a better ball player than either of them, even though I'm LOUSY! I'm breathing, though...

Or did you mean "who WAS better..."?
