use Gold Standard Tank Sealer by KBS Coatings. I'd recommend getting one of their 3 step kits which comes with a cleaner, metal prep & tank sealer.

The easiest way is to get a tube of Red RTV and squeeze it along the crack. I had a Chevy and scrapped the curb and it caused small hair cracks. I applied some RTV Red and it stopped it. I would recommend you get another gas tank from a junk yard or get it professional repaired. Grinding it might cause a spark and if it blows you loose. Good Lick and GOD Bless

J B Weld is the way to go, you can get it at: Autozone, Wal-Mart, NAPA, CarQuest, Ace, True Value, HomeDepot, Lowe's, PepBoys, Advance Auto, O'Reilly Auto,
Do-it-Best Hardware, Orgill Brother Hardware,
CSK (Checkers, Schucks, Kragen),Tractor Supply.

Be very careful if you are going to sand the tank. Wet sanding would be the best.....

Best to have a gas tank repair company fix it or buy a new/used tank. Sometimes, radiator shops do this service or check the phone book.

Freshly chewed bubble gum is a quick temporary fix and is easy to remove when you are ready to repair. It will not last long, you can do it over and over though!
