RKO needs a history lesson, the 2 term limit for president only came about after FDR was elected to a third term, republicans hated the fact that the country supported a strong liberal president and set about enacting a law that would in theory prevent a Democratic stranglehold on the nation, now that's it in I'm glad another term of this idiot and we'd in deeper trouble than we already are as it is it will take years to undo the damage the cheerleader has caused

The two-term limit was a good idea on the part of our founding fathers; it kept some madman from crowning himself 'king' and remaining in power for decades. Imagine if George W. Bush could be re-elected for another term or two? He'd destroy this country more than he already has! In fact, I think all members of Congress should be limited to no more than two terms. Politics is the only 'career' that makes you more ineffectual the more 'experience' you acquire. -RKO- 06/10/07

This two-term limit was an amendment to the Constitution put together primarily by Republicans envious of the FDR election victories that kept their party out of the White House for so many years.

our whole system is "un-democratic".... we are a constitutional representative republic. An amendment to the constitution was made to limit the president's terms in office. It would take another amendment to change it back. That's the way our system works.

Been there done that. I'm cool with term limits and would be even happier with term limits in congress.

the 2 term limit was enacted by the democratic process...thus is entirely 'democratic'...

That's the problem with you Liberals. You all want to take the genius our founded fathers molded into our laws and constitution and rip them to shreds.
