I have a mac computer with OS X. I'm planning on getting a D-Link router. Here's my question: Since I have a mac computer with Safari as the internet browser, IF I buy that d-link router, will I still be able to configure it online? I've heard that you need Firefox (which isn't a big deal to download), but I need to know if you MUST have Firefox on a mac to configure a d-link router, or if you can use Safari.

Also- can you download the Firmware with Safari onto a mac, or do you need Firefox for that, too?

D-Link Sucks! One of the worse brands! Go with a Linksys or Netgear!

Yeah, it'll work. I use Safari to configure my Linksys.

Safari is not a stripped down version of Firefox. Safari is more advanced in some aspects. It just doesn't allow the use of plugins, like Firefox. Safari with the latest version of WebKit is faster than Firefox.

Safari is just a stripped down version of Firefox.

You will be able to do everything you need to do on your router.

well the reason they ask you to use firefox or the IE is because using safari when you and save the changes to the EBR2310 sometimes your not able to save the settings i have seen that alot of times.

You shoudl be fine.

You will still connect to the router via tcp/ip ( 192.168.0.1 probably ) and the page you view ill be normal HTML so any OS will work fine.

You should be able to use any browser for this. Also any router, I have never had any problem with DLink, and have dozens of serious businesses using them.
