is there a way to clean it or do i need to buy a new one??if so how much do they cost

If it is the older track and ball style, you can clean it by turning it upside down and twisting off the cover where the ball sits. Wal-Mart has optical mouse for @ $10 new and is more reliable. Might want to upgrade. Also keep the mouse pad clean will keep it trouble-free a long time.

mice are cheap. If yours has a ball... you can clean it. If it's laser, chances are its busted. Check out these sites for mice
