Could the human ego be a roadblock for even the most determined person?

It is possible but not practical. For a human to eliminate his own faults will take superhuman efforts and still someone or the other will point out the faults remaining. Finding faults in other fellow beings is just a reflexion of our own thinking---a good person sees only good things in others even as a bad person can see only evil in others..........So if you can achieve first i.e. eliminate your faults,second becomes easy........

The person finding fault in others could be a doctor, or a law-enforcement officer. Detectives aren't murderers, but they will arrest all they can.
A doctor's chief asset is being able to diagnose illness.
