When you install a free flowing air filter like a K&N, the fuel-air mxture is altered and re-jetting is required.
There are no quick fixes.

By installing the K&N you allow the engine to draw more air, (Less restriction through the filter), because of this the air fuel ratio has changed, causing a lean condition, this will make the buke run hotter and will in time cause it to fail.

Your jets may have been able to handle the after market pipes, but with the new filter they are no longer able to.

You could check for intake leaks and vac lines disconnected, but have a shop check the bike on a Dynomometer and tune it properly.

ck 1st thing first, the vacuum lines, the carb boots for leaks, kinked lines ect. I've never heard of rejetting for a k&n filter, it has to be something that happened in removal and reinstallation.
