Don't say LimeWire because it gave me a virus on my old computer -- which I had to get rid of.
I have a new laptop, but I need a good place to download music -- for free -- that has better virus protection than LimeWire. I heard that some things might have to do with your connection -- in which I have DSL. Soo, can anyone help me?

Even if you didnt ask, I would advise you not to go for a free service. Since you are having a new gadget(laptop), dont compromise on security. Free suff always pose a danger from virus, spyware, adware infection.
Instead think of a zero per download fee, legal music/movie download service with reasonable fee.

limewire is a nice software for downloading mp3 files for free. it is not the limewire that give you the virus, it is the file that you have downloaded from limewire. when you download an mp3 file from limewire, be sure that it is in .mp3 form not an executable file which is in .exe form.
