Its a 2006 Element and the engine blew up.... no damage to the vehicle cosmetically..... but the entire engine is being replaced/rebuilt. Will this effect the value, and if so, by how much...????

It shouldn't. Was the new engine rebuilt by a qualified mechanic or by a shade tree mechanic?

I would think if the engine is doing well with no problems, why even bring it up? Good luck. Pops

It shouldn't hurt the value on a car that new. As stated before, if it were an older car, they value would increase. But, it's not older so, you're probably going to be looking at about the same value. No worries...be happy. Best wishes!!!

On a vehicle that new, it should not affect the value either way. On older cars it will increase the value, but not as much as the cost of rebuilding.

no its not going to hurt it,you don't even have to tell anyone its re-built if you don't want to,but the value wont drop on it,on that one though they should have replaced the entire engine in it,especially and it being under warranty, its kind of strange that they didn't offer to do this, but it shouldn't affect the value of it,good luck with it.
