In the state of Indiana, you are referring to an "unlimited license" to carry a handgun for the protection of life and property. The other kind of license is a "qualified license" which is issued for hunting and target practice.

Nowhere in IC 35-47-2-2 or IC 35-47-2-4 does it specify restrictions as to where an individual with an unlimited license may or may not carry a handgun.

However, IC 35-47-6 does specify restrictions with regard to possession of firearms in aircraft and airports.

IC 35-47-9 specifies the restrictions with regard to possession of firearms on school buses, school property, or at school organized functions.

The best bet to find out the specifics of where you may / may not carry a handgun would be:
1) the chief of police or corresponding law enforcement officer of the municipality in which the applicant resides;
2) if that municipality has no such officer, or if the applicant does not reside in a municipality, to the sheriff of the county in which the applicant resides after the applicant has obtained an application form prescribed by the superintendent; or

If you have a permit, you can carry the weapon anywhere you want, except in businesses that forbid weapons inside and some public places such as airports, government buildings, etc.

Privately owned businesses have the right to allow or not allow weapons in their establishments. A concealed carry permit does not allow you to take the weapon wherever you want..

Has the great state of Indiana become so lawless that there is a need to "pack heat" on the streets? Has Amish Country, the campuses of Notre Dame, Purdue, the endless fields of corn etc. become so menacing that we need to carry "personal protection". I believe that guns elicit violence rather than deters it from happening. I hope that you find comfort in interacting in society without the need to have deadly force so readily available.

I would recommend that you call a local law enforcement agency and ask them instead of depending on a bunch of potentially misinformed people using this site.
